‘The Dentist’ has his next appointment scheduled for mid-September.
England’s Darren Stewart has been booked to face Kevin Holland at a UFC event on September 19 which is expected to take place from the UFC APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two will square off in a middleweight contest that was announced on Holland’s own Instagram page.
Stewart (12-5, 1NC) returned from his March loss to Bartosz Fabinski with a first round guillotine of Maki Pitolo at UFC Fight Night 174 earlier this month, winning a performance of the night bonus in the process. Stewart has won five of his last seven including finishes of Eric Spicely and Charles Byrd as well as decisions over Bevon Lewis and Deron Winn.
Holland (18-5) also scored a big finish at UFC Fight Night 174, TKO’ing Joaquin Buckley in the third round and also walking away with a performance bonus. ‘Trail Blazer’ has had his hand raised in all but one of his last six contests, with his sole loss during this run coming to hot prospect Brendan Allen. Holland has finished fifteen of his eighteen wins (nine TKO/KO’s and six submissions).
The UFC’s September 19 event is set to be headlined by a welterweight grudge match between Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley.
