A lightweight contest between John Mitchell and Alan Brykalski is set for Cage Warriors 114 on Thursday September 24. Euro MMA Hub confirmed the bout—which will take place at the behind closed doors event in Manchester’s BEC Arena—with Cage Warriors officials.
Ireland’s John Mitchell (1-0) made his professional debut at CW110 in Neptune Stadium last November. The MMA Cork fighter made his first cage walk in front of a boisterous hometown crowd and put on an entertaining display for his fans en route to a unanimous decision victory over Team Ryano’s Eric Nolan.
Mitchell amassed an 11-3 amateur record before going pro. This experience showed in his pro debut, where he looked composed and patient in the cage, even after being dropped by Nolan in the first round. Mitchell’s diverse striking arsenal affords him a fan-friendly style of fighting, and one that can be marketed easily if he continues to improve and perform on the professional MMA scene.
Polish-born Brykalski (1-2) fights out of Lions Den MMA in England. After losing his first two professional fights, Brykalski has bounced back. His most recent contest in February saw him blitz through Craig Bale to secure a 14-second KO in the first round of their fight at Meltdown Fighting Championship 5.
Cage Warriors 114 will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass around the world.
